Sunday morning was certainly a brrrrr-eakfast, but in spite of the low temperature there was a good turnout. It was cold but sunny, then breezy with a wind from the north but at least it didn't snow! Club members bundled up and once again enjoyed a piping hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages and toast. Thanks to the efforts of Margrit and her crew! All hands were on deck to ready the Wildwood Sailing Club for its 50th Anniversary season! The warm and sunny weather made it an enjoyable time to be outdoors, especially following the cool, rainy weather leading up to the big day! The docks are in but there is still more work ahead to get all of the slips into the water, in addition to getting the launch dock in the water. Members gathered in the pavillion for refreshments and the Annual Spring Meeting. There are a number of events planned to celebrate the 50th Anniversary and flags were distributed to all members for their boats. Please consider joining the committee which is looking for more volunteers in order to make the 50th celebrations a success. |
