Ahoy all WSC Members
Due to weather conditions of cold temperatures and high wind, I believe we should consider the rain date and do the dock put-in tomorrow. The temperature will be slightly higher with sunny periods and less wind. I will be going out to the club today and if any people show up, we can do other jobs like opening the pavilion, getting the service boat ready for tomorrow, and jobs on land. Doing the docks is probably not a good idea today. Come out at your own decision. Thanks Les Leonhardt Commodore / Wildwood Sailing Club P.S.?? See you tomorrow.
Ahoy all WSC Members The water at Wildwood has been dropping pretty fast for the last couple of weeks. There is less than 2 weeks left before dock pull (Sep 22nd) and only 80 feet of ramp left to pull your boat. Your boat needs to be out of the water or at least off the dock system before dock pull. Those of you wishing to leave your boats in for a little longer can move them to the beach by the lighthouse and sail from there. We are going to try lifting the finger docks onto the header system with our new crane this year (I hope) and it would be nice if the boats on the far side of the system could be moved closer and out of the way to test the crane. This should save a back or two from the lifting of the docks onto the header system. The dock pull is Saturday, September 22nd and we will be meeting at the club at 10:00 am. All members are expected to participate in the dock pull and club clean-up that day. Many hands make light work. If all goes well we will not need Sunday 23rd to complete the work. See you there....
