The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails, William Arthur Ward __________________________________________________________________________________ Interested in volunteering on race day? Come out at 11:30 a.m. and see Les Leonhardt. We can use your help in setting out marker buoys and assisting with the timing and record keeping. HANDICAP A new handicap system has been put in place. Basically, the winner stays the same and the remainder are brought up (increased HC) depending on how large the gap is in time between their adjusted time and the winner's adjusted time. 2015 Race Dates 1st Race and Spring supper - Saturday, June 13 (race rain date June 14) 2nd Race and Summer supper - Saturday, July 11 (race rain date July 12) 3rd Race - Saturday, August 8 (rain date August 9) General Meeting and Supper AND new this year a fun sailing rally prior to the meeting - Sunday, August 23rd (no rain date) August 8 - Wildwood Cup  Finally, a race with wind.And the winners are:   Rob Johnson first place. Paul Carter second place.  For more photos see our Photobucket page (thanks to Leslie). July 11 - Rum Runner Once again the winds were light and it was a short course. The Fish Fry Dinner after the race had a Pirate Theme and it was great to see so many racers dress up. Check out the Events page for a brief article from the Beacon Herald.
